ACCOUNT / SUBSCRIPTION

Account & Subscription

Login details get you into the panel; your subscription link provides route configurations. Keep their purposes distinct when storing or sharing them.

Do I need an email address to get started? How should I store my login details?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Choose a username that is easy to recognize but does not reveal sensitive personal information. Use a unique password and store it securely in a trusted password manager. Anonymous, no-logs service claims do not mean you can safely discard your account credentials. Since an email address is not required to get started, do not assume email recovery will be available. Make sure your login details are saved before signing out of the panel or switching browsers. If you have trouble logging in, check your input method, capitalization, and any extra spaces copied with your credentials, then follow the recovery instructions actually provided in the panel.

Where can I find my subscription link, and when should I update it?

Sign in to the user panel and look for the subscription section in your account overview. Copy the link or import it into your client as instructed. A subscription link provides route configurations; it is not a regular webpage URL. Opening it in a browser does not mean it has been imported into your client. Update the subscription in your client’s subscription manager if the route list differs from the panel, a configuration appears invalid, or the panel announces route changes. There is no need to guess an update schedule—follow the panel’s instructions and update when needed. If an update fails, check your account status and local network, then make sure you copied the entire link. Never post the link publicly in a discussion forum.

Do I need to choose a new plan when switching devices or using several devices at once?

VPNCape has no limit on the number of devices that can be connected at the same time, so switching devices alone does not require a new plan. Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux are supported. Sign in to the panel on the new device, get the appropriate client and subscription, and import them. Unlimited devices refers to the device policy, not unlimited data, so check your account’s data allowance and status before use. When you stop using an old device, remove any saved subscription and login details—especially before handing it to someone else. If a device is lost or you suspect your credentials have been exposed, follow the security steps provided in the panel rather than continuing to use a potentially compromised configuration.

If my subscription link is exposed, is changing my login password enough?

A subscription link is an access credential. It is separate from your login password, and changing that password does not necessarily invalidate a subscription link that has already been copied. If you discover a leak, check the panel for an option to reset your subscription. If available, reset it as instructed and update the new subscription in your own client. If you cannot find the option, describe the situation in a panel support ticket and ask how to proceed. When sharing screenshots, hide the full subscription URL, QR code, and credentials; show only the error details needed. Apply the same care when sharing troubleshooting steps so you do not expose the link further while explaining the issue.

CONNECTION / DIAGNOSIS

Connection & Troubleshooting

Distinguish between your local internet connection, the client connection, and app access. The same symptom can occur at different stages.

The client says it’s connected, but webpages won’t load. What should I check first?

A connected status usually means the client has established a connection at one level; it does not guarantee that requests from the target app are being routed as expected. Temporarily disconnect and confirm that your local network works normally. Then reconnect and check the selected route, system proxy or tunnel toggle, and any specific client error. Test both a browser and the target app to see whether all access is affected or just one service. You can use the IP lookup on this site to check the browser’s exit IP, but remember that this may not reflect traffic from other apps. Change one setting at a time and note the result. Switching routes, modes, and DNS settings all at once makes it harder to identify the cause.

Why does my browser work, but a particular app doesn’t use the proxy?

Apps handle network connections differently. Some use the system proxy, some have their own proxy settings, and others need the client’s tunnel mode to handle their traffic. Check whether the app has network or proxy options, then see if the client’s routing rules are sending the app or its domain direct. For command-line tools and IDEs, check whether they read proxy variables from their launch environment; a working browser does not mean developer tools use the same settings. If you need tunnel mode, follow the client’s instructions to check permissions and routing. Avoid copying large rule sets from unverified guides over your existing configuration. Start with a minimal change to confirm which route the requests actually take.

How can I tell why a subscription import or update failed?

First, distinguish between a failure to fetch the subscription and a failure to parse its configuration. Fetching problems may involve your network, account status, or an invalid link; parsing problems are more likely to involve the client’s support for the subscription format. Get the link again from the panel and make sure you copied it in full, without extra spaces, line breaks, or punctuation added by a messaging app. Follow the panel’s instructions to choose a compatible client or import method, and do not edit the link parameters arbitrarily. If the issue persists, keep the exact error message and note your platform, client name, import method, and the step where the problem occurs. Include those details in a support ticket, but never attach the full subscription link. If you already have a working configuration, back it up before changing anything while the cause is still unclear.

Should I switch routes if I can’t sign in to tools like ChatGPT or Claude?

Start by checking whether the error points to your network, region, account, or a server-side restriction. AI tools may evaluate your exit region, account status, and session environment together. A successful route connection does not guarantee that the platform will allow access. Check the tool’s regional rules and select an appropriate exit region. Keep your network environment consistent during sign-in where possible; frequent region changes may trigger extra verification or session issues. If the site loads but streaming responses stop, also check persistent connections, client routing rules, and changes to your local network. If the error concerns account permissions or server-side rate limits, follow the platform’s rules; switching routes alone will not resolve it. Developers should check the network settings for the website and API separately.

SPEED / ROUTES

Speed & Routes

Choose a route based on the target region and how you use the service. Check connection status, page response, and sustained transfer speed separately.

How can I tell whether peak-time slowdowns are caused by my local network or the route?

Keep the target service and client settings unchanged, then check whether regular webpages on your local network are also noticeably slow. If they are, check your Wi-Fi signal, router status, and background transfers; then compare a wired connection or another available network. If only requests using the current route are slow, test another route suited to the target region. Use the same content and similar actions for a fair comparison, so a busy website or a different file size does not look like a route issue. Peak-time performance depends on your local ISP, cross-border routing, and the destination service. A single test cannot predict long-term performance. If the problem continues, note when it happens, the route name, and the affected app, then report it through a support ticket.

120+ countries / 230+ routes: should I simply pick the closest location?

VPNCape covers 120+ countries / 230+ routes; check the panel for the current selection. Geographic distance is only one factor and does not fully reflect ISP routing, transit paths, or how quickly the destination service responds. First check which exit region the service requires, then compare real-world performance among routes that meet that requirement. Browsing, file transfers, and apps that rely on persistent connections may perform differently. A location name alone does not guarantee a faster route, and the number of routes is not a promise that every service will be available. If you already have a stable route, keep it as your usual choice and switch deliberately when a specific problem arises rather than changing routes before every request.

Webpages load quickly, but images, videos, or downloads are slow. How can I troubleshoot?

Page text and media may come from different domains and delivery networks. A fast homepage does not mean image, video, and download requests use the same route. Check the client’s routing settings to make sure media domains are not unintentionally going direct. Also check whether sync, update, or upload tasks are using your local network. If the problem affects one website, compare different content on that site and look for service alerts. Video performance also depends on quality settings, device decoding, and platform account rules, so do not assume the route is the cause. Keep your existing configuration and change only the relevant route or rule. If other apps work normally, focus on the affected service instead of resetting all network settings on your device.

Why does a streaming service still show a region error when the route connects?

A streaming service may determine your region based on more than your network connection. Account region, content licensing, app cache, and how the platform identifies the exit IP may also matter. First confirm that the content is available in the selected region, then check whether the app’s requests use the expected exit. After switching routes, an existing session may still retain region information; follow the app’s instructions to start a new session, but do not delete important account data without a reason. VPNCape’s coverage does not guarantee access to a particular library, title, or platform; results depend on the platform’s rules. If only one platform is affected, report the platform, exit region, and error message without changing all your connection settings at once, so the issue remains easier to diagnose.

BILLING / REFUNDS

Billing & Refunds

Check your order before making a payment or changing plans. Monthly subscriptions and data packs have different data rules.

How much do monthly plans and data packs cost, and when does data reset?

Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB · ¥18/month for 250GB · ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Data packs: ¥158/300GB · ¥358/1000GB · ¥658/3000GB. They last until used and never expire. Monthly plans suit ongoing use; data packs suit users who want their remaining data to stay available. Choose the billing option that fits your needs. Monthly plan data does not accumulate indefinitely, and data packs are not replenished each month. Check the plans page for full pricing before paying, then confirm your selection against the plan name, billing option, and amount shown in your panel order.

Which payment methods are supported, and what should I do if the panel hasn’t updated after payment?

Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported. If your account status has not changed after payment, first check the order status in the panel and confirm that the payment record matches the current order. Do not create another order or pay again just because the page has not updated. If you still cannot confirm the status after refreshing, open a panel support ticket with the order ID, payment method, and current status. Hide unrelated personal and sensitive information on payment receipts. Never publicly share screenshots showing QR codes, full account details, or subscription credentials. For USDT, follow the network, amount, and instructions shown in the current order exactly. Do not transfer funds based on an old screenshot or details from another order. Check the panel for updates on your payment.

How do I request a 14-day no-questions-asked refund, and what information do I need?

VPNCape offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel and submit a support ticket with the relevant order ID and your refund request. See the Terms of Service for the full refund policy. You do not need to compile detailed speed-test results to justify a no-questions-asked refund. Keep information needed to verify the order separate from troubleshooting details. Do not include your login password, full subscription link, or unrelated payment information in a ticket, and do not send additional payment to an unknown account. Refer to the panel’s response for refund handling, order verification, and progress. This page does not promise a processing time or unconfirmed conditions. If you also have a connection issue, describe it separately so the two requests can be handled distinctly.

Can I upgrade if I run low on data, and why is the amount different from a full month’s price?

For a mid-cycle monthly plan upgrade, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Use the upgrade order and amount shown in the panel rather than subtracting full-month prices to estimate what you owe. Before proceeding, check your current plan, account status, remaining data, and the new order details to confirm that you are upgrading your existing subscription rather than selecting a different billing option by mistake. Data resets monthly on your activation date; do not assume it resets on the first day of the calendar month or that an upgrade changes the reset schedule. If the amount or data shown in the panel differs from what you expected, pause before paying and ask about it in a support ticket with the relevant order ID. Confirm the details before continuing. For specifics on using a data pack alongside a monthly plan, follow the panel’s instructions; the deduction order is not specified here.
